Want to represent the student body? Have a desire for creating change on campus? Looking to join a student organization that both strengthens ties with your fellow classmates while strengthening your resume? Well look no further, as SGA is having elections for new senators and there are positions available that ANYONE can run for!
Everything you need to run for a Senator position on SGA can be found on the Elections packet available on the SGA Office Door in the Student Activities Center on the Third Floor of Campus Center and at https://www.ithaca.edu/orgs/sga/docs/SGA_Elections_Packet.pdf. Packets are available now and will be due no later than Friday, September 19 at 2:00 p.m. Applicants are encouraged to get their packets in earlier if at all possible.
Applicants will be notified if they have met the requirements to run on either September, 20 or 21 and will be expected to participate in the SGA Platform Presentations on Monday, September 22 at 7:00 p.m. in IC Square. Candidates will be expected to give a 3-5 minutes speech on what they hope to accomplish as an SGA Senator, followed by a brief question and answer session.
Elections will take place on September 23 & 24 on Orgsync. Senators will be notified of their results Friday morning and the results of the elections will be released to the public by posting on SGA’s Facebook page at 12:00 p.m. All senators must be able to attend meetings on Mondays at 7:30 p.m.

1 - Music School Senator
1 - Business School Senator
2 - Class of 2018 Senators
2 - Class of 2016 Senators
1 - Class of 2015 Senator
2 - Senators-At-Large (Can be ANY student)
1 - Varsity Sports Senator
1 - Off Campus Senator
1 - Transfer Student Senator
1 - Grad Student Liaison
There will also be an informational meeting for everyone running on Monday, September 15th from 7:00 - 7:30 p.m. in the Taughannock Falls room. Attendance is optional, but highly encouraged.

You may also stop into his office hours on Tuesday from 4:30 - 5:45 p.m., Wednesday from 2-3:45 p.m. and Thursday from 2:30 - 3:45 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are highly encouraged.
