Walkin' the Walk to Stop Childhood Hunger. $30,000 goes to the BackPack Program!

Ithaca Dining Services with support from the IC community helped Chris Allinger to reach his $30,000 goal to support the Food Bank of the Southern Tier's BackPack Program, here in Tompkins County! Read more about Walkin' the Walk in and our efforts to stop Childhood Hunger.

What does $30,000 in donations look like?

10,000 backpacks will be filled!
250 children will have food in their backpacks for the full school year!
That's roughly, $750 per hour of walking, by Chris Allinger from 103.7 Q Country
And, equals $300 per mile of walking!

This year's goal of $30,000 increased $10,000 from last year's donation total of $20,000!

What a great effort by all who participated! Now, that's Walkin' the Walk!
