There's No Tragedy Like Greek Tragedy

09/28/14

The students in the Styles of Acting course would like to invite you over to the house. The House of Atreus, that is.

On Thursday October 2 at 1:30 p.m. and again on Monday October 6 at 12:15 p.m. in Studio 4 of Dillingham Center, students will perform individual speeches by several characters from Greek tragedy.  You will hear tales of the Trojan War and its aftermath, the fall of the House of Atreus, and the struggles of Antigone, Phaedra, Hippolytus and Jason. Students will also perform, as a group, one of the choruses from Sophocles' Antigone.

The presentation is free and will last for about 40 minutes.   We hope you can join us for some or all of the speeches.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Greg Bostwick at gbostwick@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3794. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
