Work that Matters Panel to feature Peace Corps, City Year & Teach for
America!

Teach for America, the Peace Corps and City Year are hosting a Work that Matters panel on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 5:30pm in Career Services. If you're interested in working to address educational inequality and/or representing the U.S. in service abroad, you'll want to attend this special event. Brief descriptions of the organizations are provided below. Joining in sponsorship of the Work that Matters panel is the Ithaca College African Latino Society.

- City Year is an education-focused nonprofit organization that unites young people of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service to keep students in school and on track to graduation at 25 urban locations across the United States and two international affiliates. You can also meet the City Year recruiter at their Information Session at 12:15 on the 21st in Career Services (reserve your seat using your eRecruiting account).
- Since 1961, the Peace Corps has shared with the world America's most precious resource: its people, as corps members serve in 76 countries. Peace Corps Volunteers live, learn, and work with a community overseas for 27 months, providing technical assistance in six program areas: education, youth and community development, health, business and information and communications technology, agriculture, and environment.
- Teach for America is a national non-profit organization that is dedicated to ending educational inequity.
