Respectful Accommodations: ADA, Policy and Dignity

10/16/14

Contributed by Michelle Rios-Dominguez

Making Ithaca College accessible to all community members will require creative and responsive accommodations. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) addresses the need to make accommodations for persons with disabilities so that they can achieve success in their employment. This workshop provides an insight into what constitutes a “respectful accommodation.” Specific examples of accommodations for employees who have various types of disabilities are included.
