Looking for a fun and enriching way to start your fall semester? Visit Edinburgh in the height of their festival season mid-August and catch performances of all types and genres, ranging from spectacular world-renowned touring dance companies in the international festival, to refreshing Shakespeare adaptations in the nooks and crannies of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The group will attend one performance together and do a quick tour of Edinburgh and the castle, and the rest of the weekend is for you to seek your own adventure. Besides festivals, Edinburgh also has a rich variety of museums and places of interest to offer, as well as the International Book Festival and Art Festival. Or take a hike up Arthur’s Seat, take a walk and just immerse yourself in the Scottish culture. For students who intend to study abroad in Europe for fall 2015, the Edinburgh trip is an amazing precursor to your study abroad experience.

How do I get in on this amazing opportunity? Register via the Office of International Programs and submit a deposit of $300 by February 1, and the balance of $450 is due directly to Student Financial Services by April 15. Cost covers the train from London to Edinburgh and back, accommodation and breakfast in Edinburgh, open-top bus tour, entrance ticket to Edinburgh Castle and ticket to see one performance at the International Festival as a group. Cost does not include tickets to other shows, however, the shows are generally low cost and value for money.
