Please join Ithaca College Books Thru Bars club on Monday, December 8, in Friends 207 at 7 p.m. for a special event with Keri Blakinger. Blankinger has rehabilitated back into the society after pledged guilty to heroin charge in December 2010 during her senior semester at Cornell University. She will be sharing her experiences with sobriety, higher education, addiction, and the criminal justice system. You can visit her personal website at www.keriblankinger.com. This event is free and open to the public.
IC Books Thru Bars's mission is to send books to prisoners throughout the state and raise public awareness about the service that we offer. We think that incarcerated individuals still have the right to literacy. Furthermore, it is important to recognize that inmates are still human beings and we should treat them with certain respect and dignity as we would like to be treated.
Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Don Austin at austin@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
