Mara Alper was selected to present at the 7th World Water Forum in Korea in April 2015, the world’s largest water related event. She will present her talk “Re-Imagining Water,” with an emphasis on water awareness and education to motivate behavioral changes. It will highlight content from her IC courses “The Power of Water” and ‘Water Planet,” and engage international educators and NGOs in discussions about effective water education approaches.

As described on the organization’s website: “The World Water Forum is the largest water-related event in the world. This multi-stakeholder event is attended by world-renowned scholars, international organizations, officials, mayors, parliamentarians, NGOs, research institutions, public and private businesses, and civil society organizations.” Held every three years in a different host country, it features panels, discussions and a Water Expo showcasing solutions to widespread water issues. This year’s theme is “Implementation.”
