Celebrate MLK day with Dr. Derek Adams' morning address - Whose dream is it anyways?

Join Ithaca College as we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during our MLK Campus-Wide Celebration Event! On Monday, January 19, 2015, students, staff, faculty and community members will honor Dr. King by coming together to discuss the relevance of his work today.

'Whose dream is it anyway?' is the theme for this year's program.

Some highlights of this year’s celebration include:

- Free community breakfast with a morning address by Professor Derek Adams*

- Grab 'n’ Go Film "All that Remains" presented by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker and SGA President Crystal Kayiza, '15*

- 7 Educational Workshops in the morning and afternoon that feature presentations from both professors and students.*

- Presentation by the first-year MLK Scholars relating to their experiences on a Civil Rights Tour during Fall Break 2014*

- A keynote speech by Tedx Talk-famous Ash Beckham*

- Annual concert in the School of Music

*Events count towards Leading in Diverse World credit in the Student Leadership Institute. Make sure to sign up 48 hours before to receive SLI Credit for these events. If you attend all events throughout the day you will have enough credits to receive a certificate in the Leading in a Diverse World Track!
