I am very pleased to announce that I have appointed Benjamin Rifkin as our new provost and vice president for educational affairs. Ben comes to Ithaca College with a distinguished record of achievement as an administrator and academic at The College of New Jersey, Temple University, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and I look forward to working with him as part of our senior leadership team.
I would like to thank the search committee for its excellent work in bringing in an exceptionally strong pool of candidates for the position. I also want to thank Dean Linda Petrosino, who will continue to serve as interim provost until Ben joins us on June 1.
