At the 2015 American Historical Association Annual Meeting in New York City, Ali Erkan (Computer Science), Michael Smith (History/Environmental Studies and Sciences), Matt Klemm (History), Steve Lam (Computer Science, Class of 2013) presented the history and results of their multi-year experiment with a digital teaching and learning tool they have developed.
Their presentation, "Learning in Networks of Knowledge (LINK): Toward a New Teaching and Learning Tool in History" , explored the theoretical and practical questions that drove the research, as well as the application of the software designed to address these questions. Much of the research for the project was funded by a National Endowment for the Humanities Digital Humanities Start-Up grant.
