NEMISIG (Northeastern Music Information Special Interest Group) is a yearly informal workshop which brings together researchers from various institutions in the Northeastern United States who work on music information retrieval. Topics include music recommendation, music structural analysis, music cognition, and computational musicology. The meeting provides a space for open discussion of new ideas and intends to foster intercollegiate collaboration.

HAMR 2015 (Hacking Audio and Music Research) will directly follow NEMISIG. HAMR is an event which applies the hackathon model to the development of new techniques for analyzing, processing, and synthesizing audio and music signals.
