The Physical Therapy Department would like to congratulate graduate student Candice Brown on being awarded the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions (ASAHP) Scholarship of Excellence. The purpose of this scholarship program is to recognize outstanding students in the allied health professions who are achieving excellence in their academic programs and have significant potential to assume future leadership roles in the allied health professions.
Enrolled in the 6-year Clinical Health Sciences/Doctor of Physical Therapy program, Candice graduated cum laude from the B.S. portion of the Physical Therapy program in May 2014. Upon her graduation, Candice was honored with a Campus Life Award, a prestigious recognition of her extensive contributions to the Ithaca College community. In addition to on-campus involvement with the Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs, she has become an active leader within the physical therapy professional association. Currently Candice is the College's student liaison to the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), serves on the PT Club executive board, and is a member of the Global Health Special Interest Group. Congratulations Candice!
