Park Auditorium Film Screening!

02/13/15

Film Fervor Magazine proudly presents a screening of Matthieu Kassovitz's La Haine.

An explosive story of urban decay and disenfranchised youth, the film follows three young men - a Jew, an African and an Arab - as they roam the outskirts of Paris. Antagonized by police and taking stock of their place in the world, the trio considers taking action, the idea spurred by the discovery of a pistol. The film draws inspiration from Boyz n the Hood and Do the Right Thing, but stands out as a brutal and gripping example of contemporary French cinema.

The event will take place on Thursday, February 19 at 7pm in Park Auditorium and a brief, informal discussion with the audience will follow the screening. Admission is free and open to all members of the IC community!

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Byron Bixler at bbixler1@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
