Seeking applicants for Director of the Integrative Core Curriculum

Applications are being accepted for a three year appointment (with possibility of renewal) as Director of the Integrative Core Curriculum. The person in this position provides leadership in the ongoing implementation and assessment of the Integrative Core Curriculum, serves as liaison to the Committee on College-wide Requirements, advances the electronic learning portfolio, oversees the first year ICC kickoff events, and works collaboratively with the Associate Director of the ICC (responsible for the Ithaca Seminar) and faculty and staff across campus.

The Director of the Integrative Core Curriculum position is open only to tenured faculty members or senior (associate level or above) NTEN faculty. The appointed individual will teach two courses each academic year in the Integrative Core Curriculum, with the remainder of his/her time assigned to administering the ICC, and receive a summer stipend. Interested individuals should send a letter of interest and a current vita to the Vice Provost for Academic Programs (djohnson@ithaca.edu). Materials should be submitted no later than Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Appointment is expected to begin in May, 2015.

The ideal applicant will possess an enthusiastic commitment to the ICC and IC20/20 more broadly, as well as credibility with faculty across campus and work with curriculum development and implementation. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.
