The Aging in Community workshop will provide a research overview of the anticipated living arrangements of 416 community-dwelling older adults using data from the first two data collections of the Pathways to Life Quality Study. Two Aging in Community models will also be discussed. Kendal at Ithaca is a very intentional model for aging in community with a focus on life-care as a specific approach to long-term care, especially as it is provided in a Continuing Care Retirement Community. Love Living at Home in Ithaca is an aging in place initiative designed to provide a full and independent life to residents who live in their own homes by coordinating and consolidating already existing resources, programs and services in the area as a “one call does it all” concierge service provider as part of the growing grassroots effort across the country called “The Village Movement.”
Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Teri Reinemann at treinemann@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-1607. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
