SafeTALK, a project of Living Works, is a world renowned suicide prevention system that has been adopted by the NYS Office of Mental Health, the US Air Force, and used in over 20 countries around the world. SafeTALK is a 3-hour training that uses discussion, short video dramas, and practice to enable participants to identify persons who might have thoughts of suicide, ask in a clear direct manner about suicidal thinking, and connect those people with help. SafeTALK is an excellent introduction to suicide intervention and a stepping stone to full intervention training which is offered by staff of Suicide Prevention and Crisis Service.
