Ryan DeLany, professional academic advisor in Ithaca College’s Academic Advising Center, has been selected to present at the upcoming Region Two Conference of NACADA (The Global Community for Academic Advising) in Richmond, Virginia. Entitled “Maximizing Efficiency in Transfer Student Advising,” his presentation will focus on Ithaca College’s success in providing structure and support to incoming transfer students. Topics covered will include the credit-bearing Ithaca College Transfer Seminar and the Peer Leader Student Ambassador program. Established in 1979, NACADA has a membership of over 11,000 higher education professionals, and a mission that focuses on the theory, research, and practice of academic advising in higher education.
