National Student Speech Language Hearing Association 2015 Conference - Counselling Skills for SLPs: Unleash Your Full Potential as a Clinician

 The IC Chapter of the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association is hosting a conference for students and professionals in the Ithaca area on Saturday, April 18th. 

Dr. Reed, an Associate Professor in the Communicative Sciences and Disorders Program at Alabama A&M University (AAMU), will be presenting on basic approaches to counseling patients and students and their caregivers. Evidence-based practices relevant to counseling in the discipline of communication disorders will be detailed. Participants will be presented with information relating to the fundamentals of counseling, counseling skills, and types of counselor responses. There will be a focus on building, promoting, and improving the therapeutic relationship in specific settings.

This program is offered for .45 CEU's (Approved by ASHA Continuing Education)​
