Students who are interested in volunteering to help out at ITHACON or the Tori Cup should attend one of two meetings: Tuesday, March 17 in Job 160 at 12:15pm, or Wednesday, March 18 in Friends 208 at 7pm.
ITHACON40 will be held from 10am to 5pm in the Emerson Suites on Saturday, May 2. It features comic book authors, artists, and many vintage and current comic books. In addition to needing help setting up and breaking down the exhibits, we are also looking for people to register and direct guests, and students to help run activities for kids, which will include face painting, monster make-up and cape-making.
The Tori Cup is a science fiction and fantasy knowledge competition held in honor of Tori Howell which will be held from 6pm to 11pm on Saturday, May 2. Teams compete to answer questions on Dr. Who, Comic Books, Star Wars, Anime, Star Trek, Fantasy, classic Science Fiction, and film (and any other geeky category we can think of). We need people to help out with publicity, to write and sort questions, to register teams, and to act as Quiz Masters and Judges for the competition.
Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Katharine Kittredge at kkittredge@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-1575. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
