The IC American Marketing Association again placed among the top chapters in the country, taking home several awards at the 2015 AMA International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans.
Thirteen students represented ICAMA at the conference. In the main awards competition, IC received a Bronze award for Outstanding Chapter Performance (placing among the top 20 schools nationwide). In addition, the chapter received an Honorable Mention for Outstanding Website (top 5 nationwide) and an award for Outstanding Marketing Week activities (also top 5 nationwide). ICAMA also received its award for achieving semifinalist status in the Case Competition (just outside the 8 finalist schools).
While in New Orleans at the conference, co-president Kevin Turnbull '15 presented at a session on chapter planning. In addition, students competed in the Sales Competition (Alex Schintzius '15) and Marketing Strategy Competition (Natasha Brower '16 and Robert Mantell '18). Fifteen students completed the Sales Certificate program at the conference or prior to it. Students attended numerous sessions on chapter management, success in AMA competitions, and job search opportunities.
