Congratulations to the current recipients:
The award is to be used for assistance with preparation for the required standardized exams associated with admittance to graduate health programs such as: MCAT, DAT, OAT, GRE. Recipients must have a clear indication of career goals and reasons for pursuing those goals, as well has having a record of academic performance that is competitive for admission to the indicated graduate program.

Kaitlyn DeHority, Chemistry and BMO ’16
She attended the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine in Boston during high school and that was when she decided that medicine was what she wanted to pursue as a career. Since attending Ithaca College, she has continued to volunteer, shadow doctors, and get more exposure to the medical field. After Ithaca College, she is planning to go on to medical school.
Colleen Feeney, Biology ‘16
Over the past few years, she has shadowed several doctors from different specialties to get a firsthand look at the variety that the medical field offers. She will decide her specialty once in medical school.
Katrina Piemonte, Biochemistry ’16
When she began volunteering at her local hospital, she found her passion for medicine. She participated in shadowing opportunities that allowed her to interact with both doctors and patients on a larger scale. She decided she would like to combine research and medicine, by pursuing an M.D./Ph.D. She plans on doing cancer research after a Ph.D. program
