Mara Alper presents at World Water Forum in Korea

Mara Alper's presentation "Re-Imagining Water: Citizens Educating Fellow Citizens About Water" at the 7th World Water Forum, in Korea on April 14 was attended by an enthusiastic international audience from Asia, Europe, Africa and North America. After her presentation, people discussed their water interest areas and experiences educating others. Her materials were requested for presentations about water conservation and bottled vs. tap water at Seoul National University, a Korean water conservation company and an Indonesian youth education program.

During the forum, Mara enlisted international guest experts for her online course "Water Planet" and her Ithaca Seminar "The Power of Water." They are from Laos, Slovakia, Austria, Great Britain, Indonesia and the US.

The World Water Forum is the largest international gathering of  governments, major corporations, NGOs, academia and civic organizations. It is held ever 3 years in a different country.   eng.worldwaterforum7.org/introduce/intro.asp

In March, she designed a "Re-Imagining Water" presentation for the Green School in Bali, Indonesia for 7th - 10th grades. This school is an international model for sustainable education. greenschool.org
