Katharyn Howd Machan, Professor in the Writing Department, has been selected as the 2015 National Award Winner for City Works Journal in San Diego. She will be featured with the publication of five of her poems. Also, one of her poems has been selected as one of ten for the annual Art & Words show in Fort Worth, Texas, in September; one of ten selected artists will be creating new painting based on it, and before the week-long gallery show she will be writing and sending to the curator a new poem inspired by one of these artists.
