Let's make history together. Join us for the first ever Ithaca Pan Asian American Film Festival. This week-long event celebrates the beauty, diversity, and complexity of the Pan Asian experience. Thursday's theme is MODERN VOICES.
Join us on Thurssday, April 23, from 4:30 pm at Park Auditorium at the IC campus for the Asian American Creative Writing Workshop, facilitated by IC's own Christine Kitano, and special guest Milton Washington. Feel free to bring your own work to get professional feedback.
Later that evening, from 6:30 - 10 pm, at Cinemapolis, in Downtown Ithaca, we will screen an eclectic and exciting array of short films including
THINK INK • DAY PASS • THE YEARS • CRIMSON DEFENDER AND THE SLIGHTLY RACIST FAMILY • HAPPY FUN ROOM • LOVE EXPRESS • WE ARE ALL ONE • DESCENDANTS OF THE PAST, ANCESTORS OF THE FUTURE
along with the feature film SHE LIGHTS UP WELL, which tells the story of an Asian American actress who moves back home to Michigan and tries to help her local community theatre regain its mojo.
