Scott Erickson, Marketing/Law Department of the School of Business, presented in Cartagena, Spain, on April 10.
The presentation, "Does intellectual capital have a role in making the big strategic decisions?" was delivered with long-time research partner Helen N. Rothberg (Marist College) to open the second day of the conference. The keynote covered recent research on how understanding the intangible assets of organizations (data, information, knowledge, intelligence) can help with making strategic decisions about growth, where and how to compete, and similar C-suite concerns.
Scott and Helen also chaired a mini-track on Creating a Bigger Test for Intellectual Capital: Finding Value in More Diverse Intangibles which included their own paper "A longitudinal look at strategy, intellectual capital, and profit pools."
