Namaste,

A massive earthquake of 7.8 magnitude hit Nepal on 25th April 2015 and has taken away the lives of 4,600 people so far. This number is expected to increase in the coming days. So far 9,000 people have been reported injured. The earthquake has directly affected more than 8,000,000 people across Nepal and more than 1,000,000 children are in urgent need of help. Scarcity of basic needs such as food, shelter and electricity has been the main concern for the earthquake hit areas. Many of Nepal’s historic buildings have been been destroyed by this earthquake. We are reaching out to the Ithaca College community and asking you to help support the victims of the earthquake in Nepal by making a monetary donation. The collected funds will be sent to Nepal through the American Red Cross in support of the international relief efforts. Each penny you contribute to this cause will help save lives in Nepal. Thank you!

Sincerely,
Nepali Community at Ithaca College
