Vice President for Enrollment and Communication Eric Maguire has accepted a position at Franklin & Marshall College as vice president and dean of admission and financial aid. This marks a return to F&M for Maguire, who had served there for nine years in positions of increasing responsibility in admissions and enrollment management before joining Ithaca College in 2009.

“During his six years of service at Ithaca College, Eric Maguire has had a significant leadership role in bringing our enrollment management operations to the highest level of performance,” said President Tom Rochon. “This is clear from our strong enrollment results over that period of time, results achieved in a period of increased competition for a dwindling number of college-bound students. I thank Eric also for his effective leadership of our Offices of Marketing Communications, Institutional Research, and Career Services. He has been an incredibly valuable part of the leadership team in ways that go beyond the boundaries of his diverse portfolio of responsibilities, and I wish him the very best in his return to Franklin & Marshall.”

Rochon announced that longtime Director of Admission Gerard Turbide has agreed to serve as interim vice president for enrollment management, with a national search for a permanent vice president to be launched in the fall.

In addition, Vice President for Institutional Advancement Chris Biehn will take on responsibility for the Office of Marketing Communications. This returns marketing communications to the line of reporting that existed prior to its move to the Division of Enrollment and Communication five years ago.

Maguire will begin his new positon at Franklin & Marshall on July 1. The announcement from F&M can be read here.
