Winter has passed, spring has sprung and another academic year is coming to a close. The Office of Human Resources and Staff Council are excited to serve as hosts as we all celebrate a successful year and initiate summer for the well-deserving employees of Ithaca College!
In the United States, Carnival is traditionally a festive season which occurs immediately before Lent and typically involves a public celebration or parade combining some elements of a circus, mask and public street party. People often dress up or "masquerade" during the celebrations, which mark an overturning of daily life.
We've all worked hard this year - it's time to kick back and relax with friends and colleagues while enjoying fun games and lively music! As always, there will be loads of carnival food and - Yes - CLAMS! There will be a sustainable gift for everyone in attendance, the opportunity to guess how many "goodies" there are in a jar, and the chance to enter your ticket to win one of 25 very cool door prizes!

What's a Carnival without a few games?! Try your hand at a GIANT carnival game, a small obstacle course OR a jousting arena. You will also be able to memorialize the event by taking photos in the "big chair" with your smartphones, or taking group shots in the Photo Booth. End the day with a balloon hat created by our own Peter Muzio, or an airbrush or henna tattoo! To top it all off, we will once again hear the musical compilations of VICTOR "The Latin King" ROSA, the DJ for this event!
So, let your hair down (or not) and come dressed to PAAAAARTY!
