At its May meeting, the Ithaca College Board of Trustees granted promotions to six faculty members.
The following faculty member was promoted from assistant to associate professor:
Department of Modern Languages and Literatures
• Marella Feltrin-Morris, who received her Ph.D. and M.A. from Binghamton University, and Laurea from Ca’ Foscari University, Venice.
The following faculty members were promoted from associate to full professor:
Department of Biology
• Peter Melcher, who received his Ph.D. and B.S. from University of Hawaii, Manoa, and B.A. from Hawaii Pacific University, Honolulu.
Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences
• Deborah King, who received her Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University, M.S. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and B.S. from Bates College.
Department of Mathematics
• David Brown, who received his Ph.D. and M.S. from Cornell University, and B.A. from Ithaca College.
Department of Physics and Astronomy
• Michael “Bodhi” Rogers, who received his Ph.D., M.A. and M.S. from Oregon State University, Corvallis, and B.A. from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
Department of Politics
• V.P. “Chip” Gagnon, who received his Ph.D., M. Phil. and M.I.A. from Columbia University, and B.S.F.S. from Georgetown University.
