Library Staff Present at Conferences

Several library staff members recently presented at regional, national, and international library conferences.

Kris Shanton, Music Librarian, presented "Hosting digital collections using ebrary’s DASH!™: An easy, affordable option for subscribing libraries " at the joint meeting of the International Association of Music Libraries (IAML) and the International Musicological Society (IMS), held in New York City.

Laura Kuo, Health Sciences Librarian, and Lis Chabot, College Librarian, presented “Student Informed Information Literacy Development: Using Curriculum Mapping to Initiate Instructional Collaboration” at the Canadian Health Libraries Association Annual Conference in Vancouver, BC.  

Lis Chabot was a program panelist at the American Library Association's annual conference in San Francisco, CA.  Lis discussed her work as the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Liaison to the Council of Independent Colleges at ACRL's program "How Others View Us: Insights from Librarian Engagement in Higher Education Associations".  

Ben Hogben, Access Services Manager, presented at the 37th annual New York State Library Assistants’ Association Conference, held in Corning, New York.  His topic was "The Challenging Colleague: Important Conversations and Successful Outcomes." His presentation focused on MBTI personality types, communication tools based on employee coaching, and how inferences affect communication that is shared with others.
