Understanding Emotional Intelligence and Why it Matters

08/10/15

Contributed by Jane Ray

The purpose of this one-day workshop is to enable participants to understand and more fully utilize their own Emotional Intelligence in their interactions and relationships at work and at home.

Few of us are aware of how well, or not, we utilize our emotional intelligence competencies.  EI competencies can be developed, learned and strengthened.  In this workshop, you'll learn how!  On August 18th we will experience an Emotional Intelligence workshop that will help to increase our awareness and provide tools to practice growing these competencies.

Date:  August 18, 2015

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Location: Clark Lounge

Our Facilitator will be Roxi Bahar Hewertson.  Ms. Hewertson is the President and CEO of Highland Consulting Group, Inc. and a long time resident of New York State, having only recently moved to NC.  Roxi has a passion for teaching, coaching, and creating dynamic learning opportunities that make a positive and lasting difference in the workplace.  She received her master's degree from Cornell's School of Industrial and Labor Relations and her bachelor's degree from SUNY Oswego.  Her highly acclaimed new book, Lead Like it Matters: Because it Does was published by McGraw-Hill October, 2014.
