Thursday, August 27th 7:00 to 8:30PM in the Emerson Suites, Phillips Hall
What: A celebratory gathering of the Class of 2018 to launch their sophomore year. Hosted by Office of the President, Office of Career Services, and the Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs.
Why: IC sophomores have successfully navigated the many challenges associated with the first year of college. We know statistically that once a student returns for their second year of college, the odds are VERY high that they will complete their degree program. But there is a difference between just completing the degree program and truly thriving – taking advantage of all the opportunities for growth that are part of the undergraduate experience. The Sophomore Launch is a celebration of accomplishments in the first year; it is a social mixer that helps launch the second year; and it is an opportunity to reflect upon the goals of undergraduate life and begin to form a plan for achievement of your personal goals in the years ahead.
