The following is being shared on behalf of Dr. Timothy Carey, Associate Vice President, Facilities.
Congratulations and a Fond Farewell to Lisa Belokur!
It is with a great sense of pride that I share with the campus community that Lisa Belokur, Director of Facilities Services, has been provided with and has accepted a significantly elevated employment opportunity at Cornell University. This move, although somewhat difficult for those of us at IC who have relied upon Lisa’s stellar contributions during her 12 year tenure at the College, represents a wonderful opportunity for her career and her family.
Lisa joined Ithaca College as the Assistant Director of Facilities Services in 2003, and was promoted to her current role – Director of Facilities Services – in 2007. Among Lisa’s more significant accomplishments during her distinguished years of service include: founded the Facilities Apprenticeship Program, which has enabled twelve employees to garner higher-level experience that led to promotions; instituted Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) for numerous departments; and, utilized APPA benchmark comparative data to measure IC’s Facilities Services processes and procedures against regional and national peer institutions. Additionally, Lisa earned her Masters of Science degree in Communications from the Park School in 2013, and taught courses as an adjunct in that School during the 2014-15 academic year.
Although Lisa’s absence will result in a temporary void for the Facilities department, we are all delighted for and proud of her! I am sure that you join me in wishing Lisa a fond farewell and best wishes as she moves on to the next chapter of her career. Lisa’s final day on campus will be Thursday, August 27th.
