The Ithaca College women’s golf team recently hired Molly Braid as the second head coach in program history, and Braid is seeking interested student-athletes to join the squad for the 2015-16 season.

Student-athletes with previous golf experience are invited to meet Braid and hear about her vision for the program during a general interest meeting at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Athletics and Events Center’s conference room.

Braid comes to Ithaca after most recently serving as the director of junior golf at the Dana Rader Golf School at the Ballantyne Hotel in Charlotte, N.C.

The Bombers kick off the campaign at the annual St. Lawrence Invitational, held Sept. 5-6 at the Appleton Golf Course in Canton, N.Y.

Ithaca will compete in eight invitationals and the annual Empire 8 league championships. The Bombers were in the running for an at-large berth into the NCAA Division III championships during the 2014-15 season and placed fifth at NCAA’s in 2013-14.
