The goal of this interactive workshop is to prepare you for successful, sustainable, apartment living by giving you the information and skills you will need when you move into an apartment.
Whether it is an on-campus or off-campus apartment, knowing some basic facts about utilities, simple building-science, energy efficiency, climate change and cooperative living can make your apartment experience cheaper, greener and more fun.
Moving into an apartment creates some challenges you most likely have not faced before and this workshop intends to provide information that will help you those challenges. It will focus on utility costs and the personal choices that might reduce those costs, how to navigate living on you own with others, and the basic functions of things like toilets, smoke alarms and clogged drains, and when to call the landlord.
