Jason Freitag (History) to Present Pre-Show Talk on Partition

Associate Professor of History Jason Freitag will present a pre-show talk on Partition immediately prior to the 2pm performance of Dagh Dagh Ujala (This Stained Dawn) on Saturday, October 31. The talk will take place in the lobby of Dillingham Center and will begin at 1 pm.

Professor Kathleen Mulligan's sabbatical project, a collaborative theatre project with Theatre Wallay (Islamabad, Pakistan) will be performing the weekend of October 30/31 at Ithaca College. Performances of the 75 minute piece Dagh Dagh Ujala, based on interviews with survivors of the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947, are Friday October 30 at 8pm, Saturday October 31 at 2pm and 7pm (note earlier evening show.) The event is free, but ticket reservations are encouraged. Please email thisstaineddawnusatour@gmail.com for tickets. Include name, performance time, and number of tickets requested. A confirmation email will be sent to you.

The performances of Dagh Dagh Ujala at Ithaca College will also serve as a benefit for "141 Schools", an organization committed to building one school for every child killed in the Peshawar massacre of December 2014.
