World famous saxophonist, James Houlik, to present recital and master class.
The world's leading classical tenor saxophonist, James Houlik, will present a recital on Wednesday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hockett Family Recital Hall. The London Daily Mail has recognized him as "The World's Great Saxophone Virtuoso." He has appeared in the major music capitals of the world as concerto soloist or in recital, including in Brazil, The Netherlands, Germany, Taiwan, Beijing, Poland, South Africa, Turkey, and many more. Houlik, who is Professor of Saxophone at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a Yamaha Artist performing exclusively on the Yamaha Custom EX tenor saxophone. He will be accompanied by pianist Vahan Sargsyan, who performs with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and teaches at Carnegie Melon University.
The 7:00 recital, as well as the 4:00 master class, will be in the Hockett Family Recital Hall and open to the public.
