Sponsored by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and Beyond Benign (a non-profit educational organization based in Massachusettes), the IC Chemistry Department hosted a day-long hands-on workshop on "Green Chemistry" geared toward high school teachers. The workshop, attended by 30 teachers from 16 different counties, emphasized the use of environmentally benign lab activities designed to illustrate important topics in chemical education.
