IC Theatre Slays With She Kills Monsters

The Ithaca College Department of Theatre Arts will present Qui Nguyen’s She Kills Monsters.

Tickets for She Kills Monsters are free but reservations are required. To reserve tickets e-mail ICTams1@gmail.com and indicate a first and second choice of performance date and time. All tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and must be picked up at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the performance. Performance times are 8:00pm on Friday, October 23rd, 2:00pm and 8:00pm on Saturday, October 24th, 2:00pm on Sunday, October 25th, 8:00pm on Friday, October 30th, and Saturday, October 31st at 2:00 pm and 8:00pm. All performances will be held in Studio 2 in Dillingham Center.

She Kills Monsters contains adult content; viewer discretion is advised.

She Kills Monsters is a comedic take on the world of fantasy role-playing games. It tells the story of Agnes Evans as she tries to piece her life together following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When she discovers Tilly’s “Dungeons and Dragons” playbook, she finds herself on a journey into the imaginary world her sister loved, filled with fairies, ogres, and warriors. She Kills Monsters is about so much more than just a game. Throughout her journey, Tilly deals with many questions including those of identity, acceptance, sisterhood, and letting go.

The cast of She Kills Monsters includes, Julia Bain ‘17, Will Champion ‘18, Jake Daniel ‘16, Andrea D’Arco ‘18, Emily Fenton ‘17, Kristina Kastrinellis ‘17, Emily Gregonis ‘17, Jack Higgins ‘17, Caroline Maloney ‘18, Alexandra Nicopoulos ‘17, Sandra Sackey ‘18, Steph Seiden ‘18, Rebecca Simpson-Wallack ‘17, Rebecca Skowron ‘16, Liam Sweeney ‘16, Carla Tilghman ‘17, Tyler Sapp ‘18, and Brianne Wylie ’16.

She Kills Monsters’ artistic staff includes director Norm Johnson, stage manager Liza Miller ’16, sound designer Evan Hawkins ’16, lighting designer Paul Vaillancourt ’18, properties and fight coordinator Jordan Friend ’16.
