 FLEFF BLOGGING INTERNSHIPS! APPLY NOW

The deadline and prerequisites for FLEFF Blogging Interns for the 2016 Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival has been CHANGED.

Applications are now accepted until November 20 for the blogging internship.  However, students who submit applications early will be considered and notified on a rolling basis.  The FLEFF blogging internship application can be found on the right hand side of the FLEFF website: www.ithaca.edu/fleff

Applications must be typed, printed out, and submitted to Dr. Tanya Saunders, Assistant Provost for International Studies and Special Projects in Job 202 no later than 4 p.m. on Friday November 20.

It is STRONGLY recommended that students interested in these on campus internships with the festival submit their application as EARLY AS POSSIBLE.  You will be notified of your status on a rolling basis so that you can register for classes and include the FLEFF blogging seminar in your courses for Spring 2015.

Student blogging interns are required to enroll in the 300 level seminar, FLEFF Festival Blogging. Students enrolled in the Ithaca College Honors program have the option of using this seminar for Honors seminar credit.

SPECIAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON PREREQUISITES:  Because the festival is restructuring this year, there are two levels of student direct engagement with FLEFF, festival fellows (suggested for first year students or for those seeking a one credit pass/fail experience) and festival blogging interns. There are not longer interns for operations.

Because the festival is transitioning to a new structure, FOR THIS YEAR ONLY, all second, third, and fourth year students in any major are eligible to apply for the FLEFF Blogging Internships.

Some applicants may have prior experience with FLEFF as a fellow, while others may have had a mini course, or have taken screen studies or new media courses or environmental studies or history or writing or other liberal arts courses.  Please note that first year students are NOT eligible for blogging internships. If you are a transfer student to Ithaca College, please know that you are eligible as long as you have sophomore standing.
