Dr. Heather Lobban-Viravong, Associate Dean and Associate Professor of English at Grinnell College, will be on campus December 8, and the campus community is encouraged to attend her open presentation in Textor 102 at 12:05.
Dr. Lobban-Viravong is in her fifth year as Associate Dean with responsibilities including faculty development, grants, and educational affairs budgeting; she has established robust mentoring programs for faculty and students and has published research on this topic. Prior to this role she was chair of the English department and chair of the Gender and Women's Studies Concentration; her scholarship and teaching focus on 18th Century British literature and issues of of race in writing.
