Bring your passion for languages to our community partnership with McGraw House, a community for active senior living located downtown.
You will prepare basic lessons in French or Spanish conversation and culture and teach residents of McGraw House. The lessons will take place once a week for approximately eight weeks. We’ll begin meeting early next semester and teach our first lesson during Week 4.
We just successfully wrapped up our first semester with six IC French students teaching over ten McGraw residents. This is a great way to meet other students who share your interests, exchange knowledge with members of a different generation, and try out classroom teaching in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Students of all levels of French or Spanish are welcome; no experience teaching is necessary.
