In announcing her resignation, Ms. Donovan shared "I am resigning my position at Ithaca College to spend more time with my family, take care of my health, and start another chapter in my life. I left the program better than when I found it. We had a great season getting back to the national stage, and I am excited to see this program evolve into a national contender. I feel blessed that I ended my time at Ithaca coaching extraordinary student-athletes, mentoring young talented assistant coaches, and being supported by their wonderful families. Thank you to my 2015 team, and all the talented volleyball alumni who played to win with class both on and off the court."
Janet Donovan completed her 24th season at the helm of the Ithaca volleyball program after the 2015 season. Her list of achievements includes a 674-295 record (.695 winning percentage) and 13 trips to the NCAA playoffs during her tenure at Ithaca. She ranks as Ithaca's winningest volleyball coach. She has an overall coaching record of 698-309 (.693). The 2015 season produced a record of 31-5 winning the Empire 8 Championship and earning a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
