Unfortunately this event has been postponed due to illness. If we are able to reschedule, we will post an updated announcement on Intercom.
The division of Institutional Advancement and Communication invites the members of the campus community to join us in giving our best wishes to Craig Evans '84 as he leaves to become the next Vice President for Advancement at Wells College.
We will be gathering in the Clark Lounge in the Campus Center from 3:15 to 4:30 on Wednesday, January 27. This will be an opportunity to say thank you to Craig for his commitment and years of service to his alma mater.
Below is a excerpt from the previous post announcing Craig's departure:
I wanted to share with you the bittersweet news that Craig Evans has accepted the position of vice president for advancement at Wells College in Aurora, New York. This is a great opportunity for which Craig is well prepared. We are all excited for him, but his departure will be deeply felt in the Division of Institutional Advancement and Communication (IAC) and at the college as a whole.
I can't say how grateful to him I am for the work he has done since his arrival in the fall of 2012 (for his second stint at IC) to enhance the culture of philanthropy and engagement at Ithaca College. In his role as director of planned giving he has worked tirelessly to develop a strong planned giving program. In August 2014, he added to that the role of director of major gifts to his portfolio and has done a wonderful job of leading and mentoring the team. As a reflection of this, he was recently promoted to senior director for major and planned giving.
Craig has been an integral member of the IAC leadership team, while building key relationships with individual donors and our partners across campus. Personally, I have valued his counsel and friendship. His contributions will certainly be missed, but we know as a proud alumnus, he will continue to be engaged at Ithaca College.
Plans are being developed for a reception to allow us to provide Craig with an official farewell and show our appreciation for all he has done for Ithaca College. In the meantime, please join me in congratulating Craig and wishing him the best.
Steve Savage
Associate Vice President for Advancement and Communication
