The Art Department's Creative Space Gallery is pleased to present a new exhibition of paintings by recent alumna, Carolyn Hoffman (BFA'15). Please join us for the opening TONIGHT Friday, February 5th 5-8pm.

The mixed-media paintings explore relationships at play within oneself and the polarity that can exist within a single character. It illustrates the interaction of mind vs. body. These pieces explore the self-deprecation that results when one state of mind overpowers those that are more vulnerable. Hoffman will also show a selection of new work created since the completion of her thesis.

Exhibition Dates: February 4-February 28, 2016

Exhibition opening: Downtown Ithaca Gallery Night: Friday 2/5 5-8pm

The Creative Space Gallery is located at 215 East State Street, The Commons

Hours: Thursday - Sunday 12-5

The Creative Space Gallery strives to expand the experience of Ithaca College students through Creation, Exhibition and Education. Our downtown venue allows students to have access to space outside of the Art Department for creating new work, sharing their efforts with the greater Ithaca community and learning the logistics of operating a gallery. These experiences will further prepare students for life as a studio artist and future creative opportunities.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Bill Hastings at bhastings@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-7014. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
