Jennifer Spitzer, Assistant Professor of English, will present a free public lecture at the Kitchen Theatre tonight (Wednesday, February 10), at 6:45pm. Her lecture is entitled "The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up: J.M. Barrie and the Fictions of Arrested Development."
Professor Spitzer's presentation is being offered as part of the Kitchen Theatre's January and February production, Rick Elice's Peter and the Starcatcher. The Theatre's press release on the play explains that it is "based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, with music by Wayne Barker; Peter and the Starcatcher is the winner of five 2012 Tony Awards. A grown-up’s prequel to Peter Pan, it tells the story of how Peter got his name, met the Lost Boys, met the Darling family, and first encountered his nemesis."
