Greek Tragedy in Performance: Timeless Tales

02/23/16

Contributed by Greg Bostwick

The students in the Styles of Acting course would like to invite you over to the house. The House of Atreus, that is.

On Wednesday February 24 at 12:15 p.m. and at 2:15 p.m. in Studio 4 of Dillingham Center, Theatre Arts acting majors will perform speeches by several characters from Greek tragedy.  You will hear tales of the Oresteia, the Trojan War and its aftermath, the fall of the House of Atreus, and the struggles of Antigone, Hippolytus and Medea.

The presentation is free and will last for about 40 minutes.  We hope you can join us for some or all of these stirring and moving speeches.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Greg Bostwick at gbostwick@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3794. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
