If you are a woman, will be a junior or senior next year, and are interested in growing your leadership experience, the IC Women’s Network Student Host Committee is a great opportunity for you! Applications are now being accepted for committee co-chair positions.

The Student Host Committee helps coordinate and promote the IC Women’s Network events taking place this summer and next January. The mission of the IC Women’s Network is to bring alumnae and junior and senior student women together at special events to share advice and personal experiences regarding the transition from college to the work place and other topics related to life after IC. These events are low-key, yet organized in a way to help facilitate lasting, professional relationships. This program is not focused on individual career fields or industries, but rather on general topics including relocating to a new area, issues related to women in the workplace, and balancing life outside the workplace. IC Women’s Network events will be tentatively taking place this summer in Albany, Chicago and Los Angeles and over January 2017 winter break in the following tentative regions: Boston, NYC/Connecticut/N. New Jersey/Westchester areas, Ithaca, Philadelphia, and the DC/Maryland/Virginia area.

Applicants should have excellent communication and organizational skills, be willing to help promote the events to fellow students and help facilitate conversations in an event setting.

If you are interested in applying for this exciting opportunity, please fill out the online application form by March 16, 2016. Once your application is received, we will follow-up with you to schedule an individual meeting.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact Gretchen Van Valen, M. M. ’93, Associate Director of Alumni Relations at gvanvalen@ithaca.edu.
