Three research papers written by Dr. Yuko Mulugetta, Director of Enrollment Planning, have been selected by the Association for Institutional Research (AIR) to be included in their digital time capsule commemorating 50 years as a non-profit organization. The time capsule includes articles, reports, fact books, and other publications that highlight the contributions members have made to AIR, their institutions, the field of institutional research, and higher education. The papers, titled Student Aid Issues at Private Institutions (1997); What Makes a Difference: Evaluating the Cornell Tradition Program (1999) and Going Test-Optional: Gathering Evidence and Making the Decision at Ithaca College (2013) can be found here: http://www.airweb.org/AboutUs/History/Pages/Digital-Time-Capsule.aspx
In addition, Dr. Mulugetta’s paper, Understanding the Impacts of the Test Optional Policy, presented at the 2015 North East Association for Institutional Research Conference, was just selected for the Best Paper Award. The paper will be published in Conference Proceedings, with the opportunity to be presented at upcoming national and regional conferences.
Dr. Abraham Mulugetta, Professor and Chair of Finance and International Business at Ithaca College, is a coauthor of the paper, Student Aid Issues at Private Institutions.
The Division of Enrollment Management extends our congratulations and appreciation to Yuko and Abraham Mulugetta for their noteworthy contributions to Ithaca College and higher education research.
